The eLesson Markup Language (eLML)
is an open source XML framework for creating structured eLessons using XML. For easier lesson authoring eLML currently offers
an offline (OpenOffice based - see below) editor. A webbased WYSIWYG editor is under construction and planned for summer 2007.
The eLML project is hosted at Sourceforge and offers all the regular tools (CVS, bugtracker, forum etc.) that you might already be familiar with when working with
Sourceforge.

Read More » eLML new released under the Apache 2 license! 2010-04-09 23:27 Today the open source license of the eLML (eLesson Markup Language) project changed from the restrictive GPL to the more open Apache 2 license. This means that in future you will be able to use eLML also for commercial products without the need to contribute back your developments based on the eLML project. For us it means that we can start working on integrations of eLML into our open source learning management system OLAT (www.olat.org), also released under the open source Apache 2 license. Nevertheless I would like to stress that we are still happy to hear from you, are interested to see how you are using eLML and what you are developing with it. So the switch to the more liberal Apache license does not mean that we are not interested in cooperations, on the contrary.
